Antioxidant Flavonols – From Fruit, Tea and Wine – Linked to Slower Memory Decline - SciTechDaily

According to the article:

"According to new research, people who eat or drink more foods with antioxidant flavonols, which are found in tea and wine as well as several fruits and vegetables, may have a slower rate of memory decline. The study was published in the November 22, 2022, online issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

“It’s exciting that our study shows making specific diet choices may lead to a slower rate of cognitive decline,” said study author Thomas M. Holland, MD, MS of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. “Something as simple as eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking more tea is an easy way for people to take an active role in maintaining their brain health.”"

Male gut health may benefit from beer - News Medical Life Sciences

According to the article:

"On the whole, the study findings revealed that drinking alcoholic or nonalcoholic beer increases gut bacterial variety without affecting body fat mass, body weight, or serum cardiometabolic indicators, making these beverages a promising way to boost microbiota diversity. Indeed, the present results imply that beer's effects on gut microbiome regulation were autonomous of alcohol and might be facilitated by polyphenols found in beer.

Various studies depict that drinking alcohol reduces bacterial diversity. The use of alcoholic beer, on the other hand, boosted gut bacterial diversity in the current study. As a result, beer polyphenols appear to have outperformed alcohol's negative impact on gut flora."

Tiger Woods 'Looked Phenomenal' During Practice Round Ahead of Masters, Couples Says - BleacherReport

 According to the article:

During his practice round, he missed two of seven fairways and three greens. However, Couples noted there wasn't much intent behind his putts on Monday:

"He didn't putt much, but it's Tiger Woods, he knows how to putt, he knows how to play this course. And the driver was a machine. He hit it in the bunker on 2 but he smoked it, drove it pin high almost on 3. He looks great. The sound of the ball—so I'm comparing it to JT who's a top-two, top-three player in the world. They both looked good. JT looked very good, too."

How To Cure a Hangover, According To Science - Popular Mechanics

 According to the article:

"Spoiler alert! The hair of the dog is not a great plan. ...

Humans have been searching for the perfect hangover cure since we first started fermenting things thousands of years ago. There are numerous hangover-cure products on the market, and various home remedies that drinkers—and even some health proponents—swear by. ...

The most widely recommended solution for easing a hangover is to drink non-alcoholic fluids while you’re imbibing to hopefully help prevent a hangover, and afterward, to help relieve one. This is because alcohol acts as a diuretic, which means it stops the body from absorbing water and promotes water loss through urine."

Tiger Woods Frustrated by the Slow Recovery from his Car Crash, Admits He’s ‘Still Working’ on Walking - Mediaite

 According to the article:

“I’m still working on the walking part,” Woods admitted. “My foot was a little messed up there about a year ago, so the walking part is something that I’m still working on, working on strength and development in that. It takes time.”

“What’s frustrating is it’s not at my timetable. I want to be at a certain place, but I’m not. I’ve just got to continue working. I’m getting better, yes. But as I said, not at the speed and rate that I would like. You add in the age factor, too. You just don’t quite heal as fast, which is frustrating.”

Drinking This Boozy Beverage Regularly Can Lower Your Risk of Developing Cataracts as You Age - Woman's World

 According to the article:

"Cataracts occur when there’s clouding over the lenses of your eyes, which leads to blurry, foggy, and unclear vision over time. There are more than 200,000 cases per year in the U.S., and the only way to treat the condition long-term is to undergo surgery. However, a new study in Ophthalmology coming out of the United Kingdom investigated survey data from almost 500,000 participants and found that people who drank a low to moderate amount of red wine — roughly six and a half glasses per week — were up to 23 percent less likely to need cataract surgery."
