What Wine to Serve at Thanksgiving?

I'm a little bit partial right now.  I just returned from visiting family in Portland, OR.

So, I've got two recommendations, go with both:
  1. Choose a lovely Oregon Pinot Noir.  On my trip home, I learned that Riedel has designed and sells a wine glass specific for them.
  2. I just love the dry Alsatian whites.  So I agree. Go with Trimbach and Weinbach.

The town of Carmel and the Monterey peninsula make for a wonderful experience.   Lots to see and do.  Don't miss the aquarium, cannery row, or the spectacular Spyglass Hill, Pebble Beach Golf Links and Cypress Point.

It's great to learn about Sestri Levante.  The photo on the Wine-Knows Travel blog is so lovely I want to go there!

It reminds me of past trips to nearby Cinque Terre, and walking the path through all five villages.

I'm A Big Fan of Wine-Knows Travel . . .

I love the folks at Wine-Knows Travel!

I'm big fans of theirs.  We've joined them on food & wine tours in 2005 (Avignon, Southern/Northern Rhone, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne), and 2008 (Bordeaux, St. Emilion, through the Dordogne Valley to Colliure).  Both were great food and wine trips with lots of educational experiences.

I'm so pleased to see them launch their blog:   Wine-Knows: Fine Wine & Gourmet Food Journeys for the Discerning Traveler.

Check it out!
